I’m curious to know if anyone has had experience with weddings or other events at Aria. I have seen a lot of good reviews on google and the knot, but I recently met a handful of people that heard bad things, especially that the food was bad and they don’t act like they actually care about you. When we visited Aria the guy showing us of course raves about the food being extremely popular. We are going to a Valentine’s Day event there specifically to try the food. So just unsure about what to believe and looking for some other honest opinions

I’ve been to a few school banquets there and it’s always been nice. Food was very good (l like the stuffed sole)

My sister had her wedding there. It’s ok. A true wedding factory so they don’t exactly cater to your individual preferences. Service overall was decent. Food was good. Facility was nice. I personally would not host a wedding at this place but very few places in CT can hold 350+.

We had our wedding there last year and even in the winter it was amazing. We had Rico as a DJ and photo/video. People that went still talk about how awesome it was. Staff was great and everyone enjoyed the food too

We went to a wedding there this winter. The food was good and the venue/service seemed good. The happy hour/ appetizers were better than the actual plated dinner, but that seems true at every wedding venue. It is almost impossible to serve a good entree to 200 people at once.

My wife and I got married there and the service was fine. I was very happy with the food. But the huge selling point for me, being frugal as I am, was the fact they have weddings on Sundays. That and being off peak season saved us a TON of money. Before taxes and such it was $75 per plate. The next cheapest was $90.

The food is good, but not amazing/memorable. I've been to weddings and proms there. It's nice, I think they do a better cocktail hour than dinner service.

I went here for a friend's wedding several years back, so I can only comment from a guest's point of view.

Had a great time. Food was fine, nothing amazing imo. Always love an open bar. Already knew this place was too big for what I'd want for a wedding venue as they had well over 200 people 🤣

This was high on our wedding places to choose. They are a wedding factory which is fine. The food was good - nothing too extravagant - I went there for a different event.

But the guy talking to me about my potential wedding kept trash talking teachers and how cheap we are. Guy, I was trying to give you money?? It wasn’t as memorable aside from that. Tons of Canadian geese on the lawn and they had strict noise requirements within the neighborhood.

Geese are going to geese, not really much the venue can do as it's touchy to harass migratory birds.

I'm shocked about the noise limits. When I went to a wedding in September we were going wild until about 2am on a Thursday.

I should have split that sentence- my mistake. Dude was very adamant about his anti-bird stance. But there was also an issue with musical/human party noise carrying due to the water and the residents would complain. Like I stated, it was a weird meeting and I left knowing I wouldn’t be using their services.

Waterbury reservoir is past the field. It was also late fall/early winter which I wonder if that makes a difference for sound?

Their apps are absolutely amazing, beautiful scenery, very well organized. The main course was typical mass sit down fare, edible and decent but not really review and certainly a bit of a let down with how good the apps were, honestly.
