I just looked at Danbury The Botanist and their website indicates they won’t be open for recreational use tomorrow, 1/10. They are listed as a dispensary to start selling recreationally.

With that being said, which dispensaries are actually going to sell starting tomorrow?

Kinda sad that after all this time, the dispensary closest to me won’t be open at the start of sales. Lol.

What's up with their wack strain names?

Usually I will research a strain before buying it.

It seems like they are making them up and they aren't real strain names.

That seems unnecessary and a pain.

Going to mass isn't all that much farther for me currently, it would take less time to just go there than decipher the made up names.

Yeah, the medical program did this to keep it very pharmaceutical-feeling. The medical dispensaries even have to have pharmacists and trained pharm techs on site. Supposedly the name thing is also about making it less desirable to kids. All pretty useless if you ask me. As a med patient I always hated these made up names, it’s needlessly confusing. Honestly can’t believe they’re keeping it for rec sales. Really dumb move by the state. CT DCP really underestimates the competition from surrounding states.

Has something to do with the medical program. They aren't allowed to use "street" names so they make up some shit like Canibidol to make it sound more medicine-y

For Fine Fettle in Stamford, you must order online and give an ETA when you will pickup your products.

After a specific time passes and you failed to pick up, it all goes back to inventory.

Check your respective locations on how they expect to open this week.

I talked to someone in danbury the other day and they said the danbury location ran into some zoning issues so hopefully it wont be too long to get that straightened out

I intentionally prepared last time I took the trip up north to avoid all of this, hopefully things will shake out over the next few weeks, or I'll still go to GB.

I know Montville Botanist is selling if you’re up for a ride and extremely long lines. According to their emails there will be two lines, one for med, one for rec

Just drove by there. They have a huge tent out front with a big banner on it that says Adult Use Cannabis here. I’m assuming all the med use people were getting a jump as there were cars parking at the entrance on the main road.

There was supposed to be satellite parking and a shuttle bus but I don't know if those plans ever got approved.

What can we do to help? Seems like there would be 1 or 2 more within range for you and you can check their website / Facebook / or call and ask.
