Nope. After all, it’s highly accurate. Nothing good about the state that really matters. Well, aside from the current non winter.

  • Statistically one of the safest places in the world on several metrics, including natural disasters, dangerous wild animals, and more.
  • Progressive-minded people (mostly).
  • Strong Medicaid system compared to other states.
  • Easy access to the Northeastern United States with two major cities within 2 hours.
  • and in my personal opinion: the geography and nature of CT/New England is much prettier than the majority of the United States.

But hey, keep being miserable.

High cost of living

High taxes.

Too crowded.

The people.

Then move. Unless you're incarcerated, nothing is stopping you.

I’m looking for a place with decent weather.

Do you even understand what cost of living is? Yes it costs more to live in a better place where there are better, higher paying jobs.

The taxes is the only thing we’ll agree on, but for me, it’s offset by all the positives.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Breaking: better places are more expensive.

If you want cheap, you're free to move to some shithole like Alabama. Just go.

If it weren't for the hurricanes and humidity, Alabama would be a dream place to live compared to CT.

Yeah higher crime rates, way worse schools, lower income. What's not to love?

The only part I don't love is the bible thumpers and their reaction to Roe.

Well that ties into the education, but you value cheap over everything apparently, so that's going to limit you.

Ahh yes, coming from someone who likely has never stepped foot in Alabama.

I moved from CT to AL and back to CT. AL sucks so much harder than CT. Hope you don’t have kids - those low Alabama taxes mean some of the worst schools in the country.
