You don't say where you are or who your provider is, (which would be helpful, but here we are), but it is possible that a cell phone tower in your area went offline or is having issues. No one can possibly know the answer to your question without those two pieces of information.

That's not how phone service works, it wouldn't just affect iPhones lol. More likely something blocking service in your area.

But to answer your question, no, I haven't been having any issues lately, I'm in southwest CT.

I also have Xfinity and I have an Android. My service was always great, but for the last month it's been a mess. If I'm not on WiFi, I'm having a lot of trouble. I called Xfinity and the things they did to help were mostly useless. I am getting this 🚫 a lot , it's so frustrating.

Xfinity mobile, Tolland County, no problems. I am also an iPhone user. Have only had issues just over the MA line last weekend.
