They're close most of the time. That's why you keep watching

It’s purely all speculative. Sure they can guess based on patterns, but weather kinda does what it wants, when it wants.

They are in the business of selling ads not predicting weather.

I love how the hype it this is my favorite a forcsst with a snow flake and a temp of 39 degrees. Ummmmm I learned in 1st grade that’s to warm

Yeah I wonder about that as well. 33° with a snowflake, OK. 34°..... maybe. But seeing a snowflake and 42°? No way.

lol, who watches the local news forecast? You can get weather 100 different ways online.

We have coffee every morning in front of the TV with the local news so it's coincidental.

But I have always felt the local news stations concentrate on our area more as opposed to the weather channel covering the whole country.

Where are you? I’ve mostly seen the weather folks say it should be fine everywhere but maybe issues in hill towns. I don’t think they’ve overhyped that I find people just don’t actually listen to the specifics of what they’re saying. They’re still saying more freezing rain coming before/around sunrise in hills! As I live in a northern hill town I will be telecommuting tomorrow. I don’t f with freezing rain of any amount. A month or so ago 84 out here was a total skating rink death trap for about an hour due to a tiny bit of drizzle that froze. Nope nope nope on the freezing rain.

Blame the computer models. The European and US models are quite far apart and they basically decide on a mid point solution between both.

What are you even going on about? It sounds like your wife drives, so are you saying she can’t drive in inclement weather? Is she “so incapable” that a half inch of snow is a problem?

Seems like you are saying women can’t drive in bad/slightly bad weather.

That’s a bad time.

briang71 OP t1_j9miuoe wrote

Well they said sleet and ice. If it was snow she could deal but, she's not the greatest driver.

And how you go from me driving my one single wife to me saying EVERY WOMAN can't drive in bad weather...

Hey OP,

I'm a woman and when weather is bad ie) icy, slippery I ask my husband for a ride! His car is heavier than mine and he's a more confident driver. I hate driving in snow, sleet or ice!
