I wouldn't worry. That's what happens to old sinks. I doubt they would charge you for it. Not a huge expense for landlord to replace a sink in the worst case, when split amongst several students

I have these kind of cracks in my sink too. I used bleach soaked cotton balls, covered the cracks with them, and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. It doesn’t fix the cracks, but whitens them so they’re not as noticeable.

You can get a kit for it, or you can just grab some bondo and car paint from Napa.
