Ooooh, got you. This is going to come across rude, but I promise you it's coming from a good place.... Paint the porch whatever color you want because you're just gonna burn the whole place down anyway.

Seconded. Lighting an open flame in an (partially) enclosed room without proper exhausting(a chimney and fire brick) is stupid and downright dangerous. Just dont. Sure it night be OK most of the time... Until the time it isn't and you burn (hopefully only your) place down (hopefully with you not in the flames). Also I guarantee you are poisoning yourself with carbon monoxide
