In my kitchen island there are two drawers. These are in a house we had built 5 years ago, and just a hair above builder grade. Over the past few months the outside rail on each drawer has started sliding out toward the side (and away from the drawer itself) when the drawer is closed too fast or jostled too much when closing, and as a result the drawer falls down in the cabinet. If I remove the drawer I can push the rail back toward the center and re-insert the drawer, but it's only a matter of time before it happens again.

It is the back mounting bracket where the rail slides to the side (see picture). Is there a way to keep it from sliding to the side? I've searched online but can't find anything, but it's possible I don't know the correct terminology. Anyone have any suggestions? (The attached image is the rail in the correct position, it slides to the left in this bracket when it "breaks".)

Needs a screw somewhere to stop it from coming out of the plastic piece or to keep the plastic part from moving.

Thanks. Yeah I’ve already done this. The plastic bracket in the image is likely just cheaply made as it’s supposed to hold the rail in the correct position via pressure fit.

the screw slot hole is just there to put the thing over the screw, in the end the screw sits in the narrow part of the slot and i also think the op should use a screw in the "middle" (or to the left on the pic) a screw in to stop the sliding
