I swear by apple cider vinegar!!! I put some in a spray bottle to get smells out of fabrics and soft surfaces. It even works as a great laundry additive. Works excellent! My sister left a load of laundry in the wash for a week and I was able to get the smell out of everything

Also definitely check behind the toilet and if there's a plunger in the bathroom I would check there also

Pour a small amount of bleach in the shower/tub drain and the sink drain, and walk away. Let it marinate. Sometimes you can get microbial life living in the traps that can smell like stinky socks.
