Garage door weather strip question

Het folks. I have two pretty old garage doors (the link shows the front and back of the base of each).

Most videos I've seen show a liner that has two tracks to slide them into, thus forming a loop, or it's a solid piece that you nail in, which I can't do as they're metal.

Would anyone have suggestions on what to use? Or can I just use this, but only feed one part through the tracks and it just lays there like a sort of skirt.

Consequently, the top of the doors are the exact same, would those work as well or should I find something stiffer to use there?

They actually make a single track design specifically for your type of door. Search Amazon for this exact part number "B07GMPR875" - just as an example. That's really what you should use! Otherwise, I typically like to staple felt strips on in layers on the sides of the door frame where the door would close against if necessary. Felt works nicely for keeping the cool air from getting in while keeping your door snug when closed.

Im not real sure on that one! I would say it's unlikely, just based on my experience with replacing them. If they aren't just the right size they can be extremely difficult to slide all the way across without getting hung up, ripping, or coming out of the track and having to start over.

I would recommend trying to find the single track one that fits your door and it'll go smooth as butter, but you can surely give a double track a shot if your up for a good challenge :-)

Closer inspection seems like there IS a second track, but that it just bent over time from the door being slammed shut... maybe with a second set of hands it'll work. And if not, I'll do the single track method!
