Nice! I’ll be honest, I was skeptical about that fabric but once on it really shines and I love it. I bet they’re far more comfortable now. Well done!

There's a chair in this cat picture? JK, you did a nice job.

Not bad for a guy who can hold his breath underwater for ten minutes.

LOL. I thought your "before" was an after (because most people post a preview of the finished product), and was thinking you did a mediocre job - what with the corduroy fabric and the loose fabric.

You did a great job and looks very comfortable with all those cushion layers!

Why don't you just add some layers over old material?

On 3/4 chairs the old plywood was cracked/splitting/broken so it just made more sense to start over from scratch

These turned out great! Have you thought about refinishing the actual chairs? I love their details!

That's the plan! Just wanted people to be able to at least sit in then for Thanksgiving first though.

Nicely done! I love the fabric choice, it looks so much better than the old corduroy.

That looks pretty nice. I've done a couple sets of dining chairs. The first I just added a layer of 1/2 close-cell foam under the existing pad, and new chenille fabric. Looks very nice, and better than they were as far as comfort.

The second set I bought without any seats at all, and had to make a seat template from scratch. For the cushioning I had a couch that was going to the dump, but had pretty decent 6" thick foam cushions. I cut them in half to make 3" thick chair pads, which wound up being perfect; not too thick, but almost luxuriously comfortable. That sort of thing isn't as hard as people think, and is pretty rewarding.
