I was hoping to get a chip drop in my backyard so I could spread it around the trees on our property, but this pole is in the way of any trucks or heavy equipment getting back there: https://imgur.com/a/kZBmflu
At first I was going to dig under it on the dirt side and try to lever/pull the whole thing out, but after removing some overgrowth I found that there's this sizeable block of concrete and aggregate all around the pole. I'm not sure what this pole might have been for (a basketball hoop maybe? It's right next to the driveway), but my concern is that it's buried deep and trying to dig would it out would mean a huge hole. Next I considered renting a jackhammer and busting it up, but I'm not sure if that's worth doing right now if I'm just trying to get the pole out of the way.
If I took something like an angle grinder to just cut it down flush and maybe fill in the middle of hole inside the pole, will this make the chunk of concrete aggregate in ground much harder to remove later if I wanted it gone? Like I imagine if the pole is still there there would be something to hook onto to drag the whole thing out after digging it out some.
