It'll look terrible but all you have to do is make the base of the chair taller so the robot bumps against it / can see the obstruction.

If there's enough clearance between the base and floor you could try zip-tying pool noodle to it. That should be about the easiest, cheapest way to do it without permanently modifying anything.

Did you get that border tape to help it learn boundaries? Line the chair legs with the tape, or section it off.

So much Ikea furniture in a single photo!

A wood post/plank, of similar color to the char, would be my bet.

I'm having the same problem with mine. An older model. It doesn't remember it's route because I don't think that was a feature on early models

I would tilt the chair forward and set it on a book or a coffee mug or something. But you have to remember to set up the chair before you run the route. Not ideal. Or you could buy a newer model.

Another option on the other side of things is to reduce the vertical clearance of the robot. In your case since it's round a bit more tricky but for my Neato I was able to 3D print some extra bumpers that made the entire bumper a bit lower, as I had a similar problem with some bar stools with a conical base.

Both my neatos and my eufys were trapped by a poang always. My solution was to tilt it back against another piece of furniture so only the back part of the U is on the ground. I sometimes wonder if they use the same base software since I've had 4 robot vacs from 2 different manufacturers which all were trapped by the poang in the exact same way. Two had LIDAR, two were random. Same issue, but tilting the chair back only takes a second and workes fine!

Day 431, the chair is still blocking stoffy, our robot vacuum cleaner. Things are looking bleak and it seems i almost got no option remaining but to get off from bed and move the chair manually.

Step 1: Turn the chair onto its side when running the vacuum.

Step 2: Put the chair back upright when done running the vacuum.

Step 3: Profit. (And give me some karma, thanks.)

I had a robo vac and the same chair. That chair ruined everything every time. Just the right height to get poor robó stuck on its chassis spinning her wheels without any traction
