Well, foam insulation has the highest R-value by volume as far as I know. I build custom homes for a living. I always recommend foam to my customers because it works so much better than any other readily available products I can access.

Ah that's good to hear from someone in the industry! I was hoping foam too as it seems the easiest out of the lot! Is there any links to disposable canisters you can refer me to? Thank you!

Yes, spray foam is the "closed cell insulation" I referred to. Unfortunately it's not very diy friendly.
