Hey All,

We've been remodeling the kitchen and decided to go with a faux marble look for the countertops with an epoxy finish. Epoxy had only been curing for ~12 hours when one of our cats walked across the still tacky surface and left some paw prints/dirt in the top layer. Outside of redoing the entire epoxy process, does anybody have advice on how to fix these blemishes?

Edit: Photos of the culprits - my wife has already started to work on the "blemishes" while I was away, unfortunately couldn't convince her to keep the momentos meaning I can't provide photos of the damage. She put acetone directly over the prints which seems less than ideal starting.

Edit 2: as said, couldn't get a photo with the prints as she placed acetone on them before I got back home - she wants this thing smooth/shiny as possible (no cat prints =). Photos of the post acetone blemishes below. Assuming just sand and polish these areas from this point on?
