Help with Shower - no hot water

So about a week ago went to take a shower, waiting for the shower to heat up, but it never did. I figured it would be odd that it was my hot water heater as it had worked the night before and there would have still been some warm water in the tank at least. Confirmed hot water was working in the rest of the house (including bath, and sinks in the bathroom with the shower).

Ordered new internal parts (Pressure balancer and mixing cap), replaced them, but still not hot water. No access to anything else without cutting open a wall.

Anything else I can do prior to calling a plumber or cutting into my bedroom wall?

Try replacing the cartridge to the shower. This can usually solve this problem.

I think that is what I essentially replaced. I took the handle off and replaced all the parts I could access behind the handle. The only other replaceable part is the shower head itself.

We need a picture with the handle removed. The cartridge can be a ball or a cylinder. It's usually plastic with at least four holes and there should be a handle stem attached.

I have added pics of the parts I replaced. These are the only accessible parts without cutting into the wall.

Some showers also have a pressure valve along with the shower cartridge. Getting no water is a sigh of a failed cartridge, no hot water can be the pressure valve valve.

If there is no difference between the new and old cartridges then it seems like there is some kind of obstruction in the valve body. Since the problem is with hot water the obstruction is on the left side. I'd get a bright lite and look into the openings. I have probed with a very small Phillips screwdriver to find something. Another option would be a straightened paper clip with a 1/8" 90° bend at the end to make a hook. My last ditch would be to leave the valve disassembled and supply hot water at normal pressure. Might be a bit messy but better than replacing the whole thing. I really hope you have good luck and solve your problem.

Did u check the hot water pipe feeding the shower to make sure it was open?

I'm not familiar with that type of equipment but is that valve body what you changed? Try reinstalling and see what results you get. If the old one works better you'd know what direction to start. I was hoping for a single handle Delta.

It is a Kohler single handle. Nothing changes regardless of replacing. My only guess is something clogged in the hot feeder pipe or in the copper/brass valve body.

Is your hot pipe frozen that goes to shower?

No. No opportunity for it to freeze. Interior wall runs and it would have thawed and or burst by now with outside temps back above freezing.
