Need help sleeplessly repairing window frame paint

Help needed seamlessly repairing this paint damage!

I was removing temporary blinds from our guest bedroom and I accidently removed some paint from the window frame too. What's a way to seamlessly repair this paint damage without the wife finding out!

I think painting over this type of paint damage will be easy to tell. Could I cover this spot with plaster and sand it down maybe? But then how to paint over plaster without leaving any brush lines?

Scrap away any loose paint. Fill with wood filler, not plaster. Sand the filler, then paint using even pressure to avoid brush strokes. Avoid overloading the brush with paint for the same reason. Sand, using a fine grit sandpaper in between the coats of paint, and allow to dry. It should be perfect.

Is wood filler okay to use even if the window frame is not real wood. It seems be to compressed wood dust?

I'm assuming you mean MDF or something similar? That seems like a weird choice for a window frame, where there's a risk of condensation but I'm not familiar with (I'm assuming) America construction rules. Yes, wood filler is definitely a better choice than plaster and will be fine if it's something like MDF.

You can avoid brush strokes with a roller. They make mini rollers for small applications like this.

Fill with wood filler, let dry, sand down, apply paint with a brush, then go over that with a dry mini roller to eliminate brush strokes.

Or you could just paint it white and call it done. Maybe she'll notice. Maybe she won't care.

Thanks for these tips. If I paint over, it would leave a discolored spot no?

Also should I sand down the old paint too? I guess the wood filler will hide the ridges?

If you sand the filler, match the paint color and hit it with a roller after you should be good
