Want to put 2 shims under a pantry cabinet to deal with my annoying original victorian wooden flooring so I can get it level. I am worried about them slipping out for some reason and the cabinet toppling over as a result (it's 80in tall).
I have never experienced an issue with smaller cabinets and shims, but wanted to double check on this since the consequences would be pretty big compared to that - do shims under wooden cabinets tend to stay on their own once hammered under and the excess wood cut away? Or do I have to do something else to confirm its security?

Thanks so much!!

Some dude named Newton claimed that resting objects kept resting until disturbed. Ymmv.
Consider attaching it to the wall, if tipping over is the fear.
