I just moved to a house (first time home owner) so I don't have any experience. It's an old house and it has a old fuse panel. I had a lamp that stopped working after the moving, so I tried changing some wires that were connected to the light bulb, and when I tried turning it on, I heard a noise, and all the outlets from the basement stopped working. All the lights are still working though.

When I see the labels from the fuse panel, there's only one fuse named "basement lights", nothing else mentions basements. I changed that fuse but outlets still don't work.

Anything I'm missing here? Don't want to call an electrician yet, perhaps it's something simple to solve.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Edit: adding the picture.

Edit 2: thank you for all the advices, but I decided it would be best to call an electrician. He replaced the plug and it works now.
