I was fortunate enough to spend two years living near Etna and she's a wonderful thing to see every day. I loved going up to the craters and seeing the lava flows.

For those who don't know do note that this is an ancient secondary crater, the main active craters are higher up and you can't see them in this picture.

Did it last summer, was great! One more tip, get a decent winery tour, we had a private one that drove us to 3 of those and the price really was not that bad for all the wine, food and beautifull scenery you'll get. Easily the 2 most memorable things ive ever done.
