This photo is gorgeous, I was there over the summer hiking and was so exhausted in the evenings, I never managed to look out in the night sky to see the stars. How much of this was visible by the nakid eye? Understand it's a long delayed photo, but just wondering how good star gazing is in the region

I’d say it’s definitely to see if you let your eyes adjust in the dark by turning of any lamp or smartphone display for a few minutes. Of course not as bright as a 20 second exposure with high iso and a fast lens but yes, you definitely can see the Milky Way if it’s dark enough.
