It's in Alberta, Canada. The mountains are part of the Canadian Rockies.

It’s like something out if a video game. So solemn

Every moment there is a line of 10-20 people waiting to take a shot from this viewpoint. Although less than on the reddit lake. Because you have to take an hour long boat trip and it's not cheap.

Was in banff first week of october. It wasnt empty, but we werent bumping into anyone. Parking lots are one thing, but it seemed most would head out after a mile of walking. Gotta go in the off seasons (fall and spring), i guess. We avoided boats, though.

October seems like a good time. I went in August once, and it was pretty crowded. Although not horrible in most places.

Yeah, I realise it’s a real photo but the water looks so perfect it’s like a ray traced render. Beautiful.

Thank you! I did a long exposure to smooth out the water

That's because someone turned down the render distance

I live in the US Rockies, but Canada's are top tier. I need to get to Banff one of these days

Jasper National Park. Anywhere between Kananaskis (just west of Calgary) up to Jasper National Park is stunningly gorgeous and not that hard to access.

This just looks like all kinds of places in Canada. Went to a lake like this this summer in lower Quebec.
