Every moment there is a line of 10-20 people waiting to take a shot from this viewpoint. Although less than on the reddit lake. Because you have to take an hour long boat trip and it's not cheap.

Was in banff first week of october. It wasnt empty, but we werent bumping into anyone. Parking lots are one thing, but it seemed most would head out after a mile of walking. Gotta go in the off seasons (fall and spring), i guess. We avoided boats, though.

October seems like a good time. I went in August once, and it was pretty crowded. Although not horrible in most places.
