Was there earlier this year! is this on the south coast of the Big Island? did you see any of the turtles?

This was a couple of weeks ago. It's a beach in Maui in Waiʻānapanapa State Park which is one of the stops in Road to Hana. Did not see any turtles there.

ah I haven't been to Maui for many years. Cheers hope you enjoyed your time! at the south of the Big Island there is a black sand beach that is specifically designated as a watching spot for Hawaiian green turtles. Looks basically just like this. That sand is SLIPPERY and also terrible to wear sandals in because it gets under your feet and it hurts

I went there in January. The road to Hana is something else but then you got this road which was even in worse shape.
Worth the drive though.

I've been here, it was beautiful. We stayed at a hotel that was near this beach. I also got a speeding ticket for going 25 in a 15. There's only like 20 people living in Hana and apparently half of them are traffic cops.

Saw some ppl living under the cover of the park restrooms, and one turtle 2 years ago..
