Eastern Colorado is more desolate than Western Kansas, which is kind of amazing.

Fun fact, a tiny part of Kansas is in Mountain Time

Denver is the namesake of the first territorial governor of Kansas, FYI.

Each time I load up the fam & drive to Colorado from KC, I am amazed on how flat some of Eastern Colorado looks... and seems to have more Sunflowers than the "Sunflower State".

Unfortunately, most people’s perspective on Kansas is derived from the view from I70. Most of the state is south of I70!
