The problem is there are two "Emerald Lake"s close to Durango, and like 5 or 6 in Colorado. They need to get more creative with the names....

How are the downed trees this season? Last year was awful..about an hour to get around the lake just due to having to go up and over and around all the dead trees. It was a stunning trip and we made 6 days out of it, but damn that really impacted the hiking.
