I've taken my family kayaking here a couple of times, and it's hard to capture just how beautiful it is. You've done a wonderful job!

An awesome spot for sunrise or sunset just off the highway. I went searching for golden larches here at the end of September but was too early. I got an amazing sunset instead.

Now, imagine using a big, heavy tripod, and stitching together a 360° panoramic of this. Such a beautiful place. If it were allowed, I'd love to see drone footage.

dcowboy31 OP t1_ivfvwjb wrote

Hahaha I actually do a lot of 360 photography. Have you done a 360 here? Hard to find interesting compositions in all directions.

Agreed. It kinda sucks that you can't fly a drone anywhere in the Rockies really.

Which is more lovely? The reality or reflection. What an awesome landscape.

Quite amazing when you can get reflections that seem almost as clear as the actual subject.

I used to work in the Lodge At Kananaskis in the early 90s and had many good times at that that beautiful pond.
