This is the beach by the graveyard in the jungle right? Or is this closer to san Pancho?

No it's not Malpaso, it's the "hidden" beach right of playa de los muertos :)

I love that beach! We walked a fair ways past one morning and spent a lazy day exploring. It was dark on our walk back and my boyfriend (who was mexican) warned me about the real possibility of jaguars being i the jungle beside us!

I've been to Sayulita, but not to that spot. It's a small party town about an hour outside puerto vallarta. The bars play music until about 3 am every day and every song apparently has the same bass line. If you go to the beach, prepare to be hounded by land sharks selling their wares roughly every 10 minutes (I ended up pretending to sleep with my hat over my eyes just so they would leave me alone). There are families with young children who hang out in the town square and play music loudly on portable stereos while just sitting there as their children (6-10ish) run around until at least midnight (and probably later). The food there is surprising very good and reasonably priced. It's hot in the summer and somewhat humid, but not too bad. The toilets are all septic and you can't flush the TP, it goes in the wastebasket next to the toilet and that is as disgusting as it sounds. The people were friendly and the vendors were not pushy, I did not notice any gangs or drug pushers either. Overall, I would say it's an okay place to visit and rate it 6/10.

Ok - where had the best tacos? Or best tortillas? I'm planning a trip!

A place in town called Mary's tacos or something like that was good, decent margaritas too.

I’m curious where in Mexico you would consider at least an 8. Sounds like you wouldn’t.

Just curious because your review was based on local families and way of life. So you don’t like the culture. Lots of destinations have people trying to sell things. Every country I’ve been to. Weird things to gripe about but you praise the food… which is another reason people choose particular destinations. Sounds like typical Yelp reviews

You sound triggered. There was nothing I wrote that isn’t true. If that bothers you then you need to focus on the issues, not someone noticing them.
