indeed, there was a moon there but it was blown out and smaller and at a different phase, but roughly in the same spot

Also, only full moons set at sunrise. So this moon is in the wrong phase AND in the wrong orientation with regard to the sun. It’s really distracting, tbh.

Love it, I was able to only get one picture of the moon set and sunrise. Not as beautiful as this though.

Took this shot at sunrise during a backpacking trip on the Huemul Circuit in the Patagonia region of Argentina near El Chalten.
