Can I ask you what you like about this place. I can only infer so much from this picture; and that is that the trees grow underwater there.

The scenery pretty much everywhere from North to South island is absolutely stunning. Postcard pictures everywhere you look. Wanaka is small town vibes which is more my style. But even Auckland is clean, has great architecture, and fun stuff to see/do if you're into cities. And the locals are just as epic as the scenery. The snowboarding pretty damn good too.

Thanks so much for the reply. I really think I will go explore the area. I've a coworker who spent a couple of years working and exploring NZ, he has recommended O do the same.

YW. You won't regret it if you do. If you go to Wanaka, and you like burgers, grab one from Red Star. Super tasty. And take a ride up to Treble Cone. It's a ski resort, but it has incredible views of lake Wanaka year around. If you go south just a little to Queenstown catch a bus to Milford Sound. It's the most beautiful place I've ever seen hands down.

I am so grateful for the recommendations and your impressions. Yeah, I love burgers so I will need to stop at Red Star. I also want to see Milford Sound now.
