Hoodoos are tower-like structures of rock formed by physical erosion. Tufas are mounds of carbonates that have accumulated via ground water percolating into a lake.

Chiricahua has some of my favorite easily-accessible cool igneous petrology in north America.
If you walk up the Sugarloaf mountain trail and pay attention to the minerals in the rocks you can track the inversion of the magma chamber as it was progressively erupted. Great stuff.
