I live in Northern California as a professional photographer. During spring we have to reduce green vibrance to keep the pictures from looking fake. My wife (also photographer) swears people would call it fake if left true to life.

This particular spot is about six miles from the trailhead, right? And it looks like the photo was taken at sunset. Did you hike out in the dark or are there places nearby where you're allowed to camp?
