Great place! Our astronomy club went there about 25 years ago. We brought telescopes (including one very large one) and showed the passing visitors the night sky. We were up all night, and some folks were kind enough to make tacos and share those and their desserts with us. We all tried to remember lines from Monty Python movies and skits and just generally had a terrific time.

I have always thought it’s crazy that nobody has made a movie about the Glacier Point Hotel. Such a stunning setting for a period mystery movie, or some period horror.

Always nice to see a landscape ridiculously over-processed. Nature is just so ugly as is.
