My art teacher in HS (65) said mountains like this do not exist. He didn't get out much or saw a Natural Geographic mag.

I remember the first hike I did up the Ko’olau, think it was Mariners Ridge. I was stunned at being able to see all of the Windward side, turn around, and see Hawaii Kai. Still makes me smile.

My girlfriend and I went to Manoa falls and decided to take an offshoot trail to one of the look outs, probably a good 5 or more miles round trip from the falls. The mud and rain and exhaustion were totally worth it
