Sequoia/Kings Canyon is greatly underrated in the geography of California. Everyone rushes to Yosemite just to deal with crowds and misses out on the more pristine sights that Sequoia has.

My wife and I got married not far from there, at Beetle Rock in Sequoia National Park. The giant trees and view from the rock was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

I was lucky to grow up in the Valley right under Sequia Natl park. Honestly such a great place and waaaayyyyy more chill than Yosemite!! Lots to explore and considerably less people.

To bad there’s so much smog now that’s one of my favorite hikes in sequoia

My brother and I happened upon this short hike serendipitously last year. We were just driving through the park and saw a big rock and were like “cool let’s stop here” and whoa was it amazing. It just kept going up. And the summit was simply spectacular. Very much recommend to anyone who visits this NP, though be advised it does require some level of fitness and definitely not recommended for anyone who’s prone to vertigo.
