I like your ideas. Especially the first one is something I've given some thought in the last couple of years. If everybody had a pod they could sit in, and all pods were connected to a central AI managed network, everybody could go anywhere from their home, and would be able to use the transport time effectively, and everyone would be safe. So a central pod-network, a bicycle path-system and a pedestrian walk-system, all 3 of them seperated from each other, and everybody would be happy.

Wouldnt it be cool, if product like Facebook, instead of focussing on adds and selling you stuff, would actively help people detect early stages of depression, lonely ness and actively work to help you get better before it gets worse.
Or expose people that have grown complacent to the things they need to be titulated to make changes in their life that would better their lives. Such as a move for education. A new job, ending a broken relationship. Reconnecting with old friends and such.
You know, put the social back in social media. Instead of the hyper consumerist brainwashing.

As always, "what do you mean by AI?" It's an umbrella term that can be used by some to mean machine learning, while others think of AGI research or "strong AI," and then get bogged down in whether computers can "really" think.
One of the applications I find interesting is machine learning + computer vision to improve agriculture. To automate weeding or pest removal. Though you can also combine robotics to push automation even further.

In the realm of near term possibility? AI that runs all transportation on our roads so there are no accidents or traffic jams.
Pie in the sky? AI personal assistant that everyone gets from birth and learns preferences and unique individual needs. Keeps you (or your legal guardian) informed of what it thinks you need and unless told otherwise acts on its understanding of you.
Middle of the road possible? An AI that knows everyone's political preferences from day to day, allowing individuals to passively vote on every single issue. No more congress. A president with minimal power mostly to represent the people abroad and a government that actually works towards the people's mandate. In short, AI run direct democracy.
