I’m not sure there is a comparison there. I don’t see any civilization that doesn’t have indoor plumbing developing radios. Technology is accumulative and while indoor plumbing doesn’t directly cause the invention the radio. The society indoor plumbing would help to create would. When people are free from basic survival and basic hygiene is standard. More of society is going to be able to contribute and inventor more

Radio made our world smaller and leads to many more technologies. But indoor plumbing prevents disease and keeps your shit out of the street

No. 1. Indoor plumbing (flush toilet/sewerage system)

Between this and hand washing, the greatest single medical intervention ever. Prevents cholera etc. Antibiotics came much later.

No. 2. Washing machine (for clothes)

Greatest labour saving device ever, for an absolutely necessary ongoing household task.
