It’s only weird if you make it weird. Society at large used to be run on verbal storytelling. It’s only been very recently that humanity as a whole has gotten away from being mostly verbal storytellers. We do this instead of watching TV and have discovered it’s far more intimate.

Absolutely, it’s just not something that occurred to me, didn’t mean to sound like I was criticising, I should have said unusual, though it may not be.

No worries. You did say it’s kind of cool, which it is. I highly recommend reading out loud to your SO if they’re open to it.
