I don't think power is the issue, it is more tightening the beam and targeting/maintaining the target.

Now we just need to build spaceships so we can go to war with space Nazis.

I’d be happy with ground based laser hubs that could knock out missiles and warheads. All those hours playing Missile Command might finally pay off… though automated targeting might be better.

When I read this, I immediately pictured those idiots Marjorie T and Boebert in space suits lol - I really enjoyed those Wolfenstein games on Xbox. Blasted many space nazis into oblivion!

I don't like the Iron catch phrase, its an energy weapon, it has nothing to do with iron.

Relates to Israel's iron dome anti missle system.

Time to chrome plate and polish those missiles/mortars to reflect laser light.

I assume the idea is to reflect the laser to prevent damage, but what if the missiles are covered in retroreflectors, which would reflect the laser back to its source. Laser weapon would be summarily defeated if this works practically.

100 kW? That’s cute, I guess if it gets the job done.
The US is ordering a 300 kW system from Lockheed.
