So...they found a way for the Matrix Robots to not need us even after we block out the sun...

Well that was a dumb premise anyways. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love those movies but no one can come out if freshman bio thinking we make sense as an energy source

Ultrasound energy transfer is already the basis of one of ultrasound's most well-known applications, ultrasound medical scanning.

We often tend to think of robots as large and humanoid, if their design wasn't burdened by the need for a power source, it's not hard to imagine useful robots on the same scale as insects, and perhaps just weighing a few grams.

This is very interesting but I can’t stop thinking that Wakanda won’t be pleased with synthetic vibranium.

If the first one isn't called the MK1 UltraSound then I'm going to be slightly disappointed.

Focused ultrasound acoustics for movement. Way cool. At lab level.

So I now imagine plausible clouds of micro and nano bots able to fix things, clean things ect... What Could Go Wrong?

Not much.

You couldn't use them like a robot vacuum. They need to be in range of the ultrasound speaker. And the energy transfer rate is going to be ready bad.

If something went really wrong you could always use noise canceling techniques to nullify the ultrasound.

Except, you know, the power needed to create ultrasound.
