Something weird is happening in this sub. Dunno if it's either a lack or shift in moderation, but it's very deep into conspiracy theory within the last week or so.

Replied to one earlier about my personal theory - bunch of people getting super high for the first time. Reminds me of the "deep" discussions I had in 9th grade on the bleachers in 1993.

I mean, I've been subbed to Futurology since pretty much the beginning. I never post, very rarely comment, and most of the posts are fantastical ideas with no ability to be put into any sort of mass production or provide anything for society. I wouldn't say this is a new problem, it's just a side effect of AskScience and other science subs being very heavily moderated and tightly controlled. This is just a loosely controlled sub, which fills a niche in Reddit.

Like you though, I usually find most posts here to be an extension of ShowerThoughts, but with a science vibe to them.
