My daughter was born this month and it got me thinking about scientific debates I had seen in the past regarding human longevity. I remember reading that some people were of the opinion that it was theoretically possible to conquer death by old age within the lifetime of current humans on this planet with some of the medical science advancements currently under research.

Personally, I’d love my daughter to have the chance to live forever, but I’m sure there would be massive social implications too.
