Many people find that they can only start things at certain times.

"I'll start eating healthy tomorrow"

"I'll start exercising in January"

"I'll start whatever I think will make my life better on Monday"

There's nothing wrong with waiting to start something you want to do, but everyone should know that the option to start right now is okay too. Especially for people with the habit of putting things off and still not going through with it.

This is just one interpretation though, a simple quote can mean something completely different to someone else

Coincidentally, it’s also the best time to wear a striped sweater.

Great explanation/interpretation! I find that setting the smallest possible goal helps people get started. Like this morning I write, "make first reddit post" as one of my goals and just completed that goal :). Doing these small goals consistently quickly builds your momentum.

I find that this is especially good when the stakes of failure are slow start or low.

E.g.: Start eating healthier now, right now. Sure order a healthy cooking book and maybe a meal kit subscription if you want, but also just say no to the last doughnut, throw it away if you have to. Just start.

You have permission to just go for it.

Edited for spelling
