What a coincidence, I just listened to this Song called Mirror by Sigrid. It's a nice uplifting, motivating Song which you should listen to :)

Not necessarily.
Not only do people change as they age, but you also need to take into account amnesia, alter egos, supernatural possession (implying this is not possibly is supernatural-ist), and hypnotism.
So the premise is flimsy at best.

At least you have acknowledged that it hurts. When my sister died I was more consumed by guilt. I was thinking of everything I didn't for her. I ground peace in knowing that that's not how she would want me to live my life. It still hurts when I remember the tough times but it feels amazing remembering our best times together.

Life the thing which threw hard curve ball. I thought I was handling things well but then I did something stupid. Now I have to tell myself constantly to focus on the growth that comes from this.

No it's not. You still have to love yourself through all of that. In fact if all that is happening you only have to love harder. The statement holds and will.

I 100% agree on that.
I just disagreed with the claim that we are always the same person.
The human condition is already bad enough, so we have to leverage the tools we have in order to make the best of it.
Moderate hedonism is the best approach.
