I agree on that. Some good things only take effect after a while.

I like this one. Sometimes, sometimes, just waiting and letting the possibilities happen is a very good path.

Believing bullshit like this made me miserable

Are you sure only that made you miserable?

Yeah it did.

I got into a career that literally on day one I knew was a mistake. I kept listening to "it's going to get better" and "give it a chance", so I did.

Years went by, and it was still awful. I wanted to get out...I got the same "going to get better speech".

I've done it now for 22 years. I have no friends, paranoia, exhaustion, and live in outright misery. Now I'm told "you're almost able to retire".

I think I know how this will end.

Requoting what you said "I knew was a mistake" which means you got an clear indication this is not meant for you, if this is not even meant for you how do you expect it will get better? and by the way you had placed an "intent" on top of it "getting better actually translates to or means worse" don't you think??

Well, I'm glad you're discussing it. That's a good thing!

What do you think would be a healthy path for you, a place or places where what you want, what you need, and what won't be harmful to others overlap?
