Edge is basically Chrome with Microsoft customization and the team behind that gets a pay check that literally only 2-3 get out of every 1000 labours. So it doesn't matters whether you browse or download other browser via edge. Another important point is Microsoft has an edge over rest due to their most widely used operating system WINDOWS where they put edge browser as default part of OS.
