From Western Mass! I am currently trying to figure out what are good things to do for my girlfriends birthday, who is 21. We don't drink, so I don't recommend any bars.

I currently have Berlin Batting Cages on my list, but I might ditch that for Hidden Valley Mini Golf. but I would like more than one activity. Is there anything else that is fun/activity based? Any good painting classes? Any good hotels, or should I AirBNB? I'd appreciate the advice and recommendations!

In Tariffville, about 20 minutes north west of Hartford, you can do a terrarium building party at MossLife!

The truck bar in Berlin. Google images don’t really do it justice. The place is huge and has an arcade and cornhole, live music, a bar and cool seating everywhere. There’s also a pizza place inside

Painting classes at Board and Brush are a lot of fun for a group. And there are studios all over the state.

Cook Shop Plus in W. Hartford Center does cooking classes. There’s a place in Plantsville called Foodology that also does cooking classes.

I have not been to cooking classes at either place so I cannot speak to how good they are, but I’m sure you could find reviews on yelp, etc.

Would you do an escape room? I like several... Escape New Haven and Puzzle Theory are both great! There's pottery painting in W. Hartford too :)

Firestone Art Studio in Manchester has fun pottery or wooden sign making. Its on Main Street and there are several restaurant options - The Main Course, The Main Pub, Mulberry Street (can get very crowded on weekends), Filomena's - or if you venture out a little from that spot there are restaurants in the mall area - your standard chain restaurants (Chilis, Texas Roadhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings) also Artisanal Burger Company is great, Burtons if you want upscale, Red Heat Tavern is middle of the road. There is also a restaurant in South Windsor called the Mill on the River which has been voted in the past as CT's most romantic restaurant. Not too far from the general area. There is a cute bed and breakfast in Manchester in a historic Cheney mansion not more than 5 minutes from Firestone. As someone else mentioned, there is a fairly new candle making place in Manchester as well!

The Place 2 Be (TP2B). One in downtown Hartford (better) and one in West Hartford. Definitely a fun spot.
