I have a number of chronic conditions and know that lifting weights & doing strengthening exercises would probably help relieve some of my pain. I used to lift a bit, but it’s been a while and I’m afraid of jumping back in and injuring myself. Currently dealing with a rotator cuff injury (in PT) and knee pain and wondering if anyone knows of a good personal trainer - or where to find one generally- who would work well with someone with chronic pain and who is rather injury prone. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Anytime Fitness in weha has pretty good staff that do personal training. Their client base is mostly older folks, many with various medical problems. You could probably find training that you like there.

Highly recommend Alex at Ignite Fitness. He helped me bounce back quickly after a really bad knee injury & is just great in general!

Try the gym at St Francis hospital. It’s part of the JCC and they have trainers that are used to working with people who are getting back to fitness and:or dealing with injuries.

Elias Sport Performance in Glastonbury. The coaches there both have masters in strength and conditioning and have done a lot with people working through injuries

Edit- not sure why I’m being downvoted for this. It’s a pretty nice gym, and I’m not affiliated with it. Just trying to help
