Maybe not the most exciting option, but the Cheesecake Factory is great for vegetarians. I am vegetarian, and it's one of the only restaurants where I actually get to choose from a variety of options. Plus, cheesecake. It's in Blue Back Square in West Hartford.

east hartford, downtown hartford, or glastonbury will be your easiest commutes. Manchester and wethersfield a little further. Im not a fab of those websites unless you’re looking for a big complex. local marketplaces or driving around have been better options in the past for me, although what was about 6 years ago last i looked

Yes, I second this. No sense in setting yourself up to try and cross the river every morning and afternoon when you don't necessarily have to

Living in Hartford isn't ideal unless you can live in one of the nicer places downtown (777 Main Street for example, which is pretty pricey).
As others have said, live in a suburb east of Hartford to avoid the traffic and crime.

Wethersfield is a decent option on the west side of the river and has some decent rental options. A number of residents at the hospital I work at in Hartford rent from a complex in town (sorry I cannot remember the name). I am often in Glastonbury and getting over there is really easy because of route 3. You would take 3 to 2 right up to P&W.

If you’re working in East Hartford you’re better off living to the east—Glastonbury, Manchester, Vernon. You need to avoid commuting through Hartford like the plague.

Elias Sport Performance in Glastonbury. The coaches there both have masters in strength and conditioning and have done a lot with people working through injuries
Edit- not sure why I’m being downvoted for this. It’s a pretty nice gym, and I’m not affiliated with it. Just trying to help

Try the gym at St Francis hospital. It’s part of the JCC and they have trainers that are used to working with people who are getting back to fitness and:or dealing with injuries.

Someone has to know what's the deal. And I have a feeling I'll find out eventually here.

Ok so it's not just me then. He is a thing! Feels weird getting validated lol. Honestly I thought my question would sound like I was crazy imagining things. Initially would never see him, only hearing a block or so away. This lasted for years. then one day while catching the bus I caught a glimpse of a guy driving and vaguely seeing from a distance what appeared to be motion by the wheel. I had my first sighting in the wild! And now I can't remember a time in Hartford without him driving around. And always in a truck/SUV.

Anytime Fitness in weha has pretty good staff that do personal training. Their client base is mostly older folks, many with various medical problems. You could probably find training that you like there.
