Hartford is safe but the vibes of people asking these questions is tiring and giving white privilege. Do better.

I live on the same street, up a few houses. It's safe and nice. Nothing to worry about.

Used to live across the street. Great little neighborhood right next to Elizbeth park. Street traffic a little loud sometimes. But other than that I can't complain

I moved right down the street last summer and can tell you that I absolutely adore this neighborhood. My upstairs neighbors are law students and my downstairs neighbor is a doctor. It's a great block to be on, right next to Elizabeth park and UConn law. Feel free to DM me if you have questions.

I was a paramedic in Hartford for a good while so I know the area well. I wouldn’t have any concern about living on that street. You are surrounded on all sides there by some pretty nice neighborhoods.

I lived in an apartment on Whitney when I was in my 20’s. Great neighborhood. Some highlights: Mo’s Midtown, Ichiban, Tangiers. Sisson ave pizza is only acceptable if you won’t remember it in the morning. RIP the Half Door

that neighborhood has a lot of students and young adults. Cant tell you how that specific apartment is but the area is safe.

Reply to Hello everyone! I am nee to the city. I came across a concert that I am interested to go at a venue called Webster theater. Since the concert ends kinda late I was curious how safe is the venue and surrounding areas? I'm still learning where should I go and where I shouldn't. I appreciate the help! by ElPatron1415
Listen as long as your minding your buisness and do what you have to doesn’t matter the area you’ll always be fine . The Webster is a great venue and just like any other capitol city there’s good and bad areas but you’ll be fine after your concert I promise ‼️‼️

Aye what’s up! I appreciate all the insights & the tip about the camera bar - not really any great shops where I’m from so I’ll definitely have to hit it up! Thank you :)

Glad to see a fellow film photographer wanting to capture Hartford! I agree with a lot of spots mentioned here. Bushnell Park is a must, and most of downtown is great. The river walk provides some interesting perspectives. Also consider stopping by The Camera Bar on Asylum Street while in downtown; it's a lovely camera store!

Corner of Gold Street and Wells Street is the Ancient Burial Ground cemetery and First Church. Approach from the south to juxtapose views of the modern Gold Building.

The west end neighborhood surrounding Elizabeth park could be a good place to check out. UConn law school is there too and has gothic style architecture. The mark twain house up Farmington avenue. Riverside park is well along the Connecticut river and looks south towards downtown.

It’s a legitimate concern, and parts of Hartford are by no means “safe”.
